Mandolin Vintage El Degas tear drop A style

Lovely sunburst El degas Mandolin in excellent condition. I bought this used from the wife of a musician. There is a piece of tape inside that says 40's in marker on it I do not know whether this refers to the date it was made or it's value LOL this lovely clean instrument is offered as I purchased it I do not see any signs of damage , abuse , or physical flaws I suspect it could use a new set of strings and be played right away . no case
