Order Cancellation Policy
At Wainfleet Trading Post, we understand that circumstances change, and we want to work with you as fairly as possible if you need to cancel your order. Please review the following policy before completing your purchase.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to all wood stove purchases made through wainfleetradingpost.com.
Cancellation window
Cancellations are accepted only before your stove has shipped. Once your stove has entered the shipping process, we are unable to cancel the order regardless of circumstances. If you have any concerns about your order, please contact us as early as possible — the sooner we hear from you, the more we can do to help.
Fees that apply to all cancellations
We want to be upfront about the costs involved when a cancellation is processed:
Payment processing fee:
When a payment is made by credit or debit card, the processing fee charged to us by the payment provider is non-refundable. This fee will be deducted from your refund at the actual rate charged — typically 2–4% of the purchase total.
Restocking fee:
A 5% restocking fee applies to all cancellations, calculated on the full purchase price.
There is no restocking fee applied to shipping, taxes or fees.
Custom work:
If your order includes any customization on your stove — special finish, modificaions such as adding baffle plate or heat shield etc — all labour and materials costs incurred up to the point of cancellation will be deducted from your refund in full. Custom work is completed specifically for your order, these costs cannot be recovered or resold.
Refund processing
Once your cancellation has been reviewed and approved, any eligible refund will be returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
