Vintage Oneida Victor Leg Hold Animal Trap, Spring Snare, Racoon Muskrat Mink Otter Skunk.

I recently purchased a few hold animal traps from a retired trapper that lives near me. He always maintained his equipment well and kept them greased to prevent rust issues.
All of them are in good serviceable condition and can be used or displayed.

Long Spring Traps are among the most traditional foot-hold restraining devices used to catch and hold wild animals.

This style of trap was first produced by primitive hand forged trap methods and was later mass-produced beginning in the mid 1800's.

Like other foot-hold traps, Long Spring Traps are manufactured of steel components but are powered by tempered steel springs that extend out from the trap.

Long Spring traps by design, are very secure in holding power and are preferred by trappers for this very reason.
