Remarkable ornate Victorian copper and brass teapot with an exceptionally decorative appearance. The copper body is complemented by a brass spout, handle, and additional brass elements, with an ebonized wooden handle and lid knob adding a beautiful contrast to the warm metal tones.
This is a particularly eye-catching piece with wonderful Victorian character and an unusual detail at the base—two vent holes incorporated into the bottom of the pot. The combination of copper, brass, and ebonized wood gives this teapot a wonderfully rich and sophisticated appearance that would make an outstanding addition to a Victorian table, antique kitchen display, or collection of fine period metalwork.
The teapot stands approximately 9 inches tall including the handle and measures approximately 8 inches across from the body to the end of the spout.
The ebonized knob on the lid has a small amount of slight damage. It could easily be replaced if desired, or simply enjoyed as it is. Please view all photographs carefully for a complete representation of this remarkable piece.
A wonderful Victorian decorative object with tremendous visual appeal and the kind of unusual craftsmanship that makes antique copper and brass pieces so collectible.
