Beautiful American Ruby Flash biscuit barrel featuring deep ruby-red glass cut to clear, creating a striking contrast that really catches the light. The piece stands approximately 10 inches tall including the handle, with the barrel itself measuring about 6 x 6 inches.

The glass is in really good condition with no chips or cracks. The metalwork could certainly be polished, but this piece is being offered exactly as found. I have intentionally left the original patina intact rather than aggressively polishing it, as many collectors prefer the aged appearance of antique metalwork.

An original paper marking was found inside the barrel when I acquired it, reading “Ruby Flash 19705 American.” This original paper has been retained with the piece and adds an interesting bit of provenance to the barrel.

A beautiful decorative and collectible piece of American Ruby Flash glass with rich color, attractive cut-to-clear decoration, and plenty of character.
