Offered here is a stunning antique full hunter pocket watch featuring a Swiss-made mechanical movement presented in a high-quality A..L.D. Dennison Watch Case Co. gold-filled case. The case is stamped with the Moon Trademark and carries full English manufacture markings, reading “English make, guaranteed to be made of two plates of 10 karat gold with a plate of composition between, and to wear 20 years,” along with serial markings and “10F,” confirming its quality construction and era-correct production standards.

The watch is a full hunter design with a quarter-turn opening system, where the dial is oriented with the 12 o’clock position rotated to the side for proper viewing when opened. The dial layout includes a clean sub-seconds register positioned at six o’clock, providing classic symmetry and traditional early 20th-century styling. The movement is Swiss made, unsigned by a visible manufacturer, but performs strongly and consistently.

This is a triple-closure system watch consisting of the front protective hunter cover, the inner rear movement cover, and the outer rear movement cover, giving it excellent protection and a substantial feel in hand.

The watch is in excellent running condition and has been tested on a timegrapher with strong and stable results. It recorded readings of approximately minus six seconds per day at 283 amplitude with zero beat error at 1,8000 beats per minute. These results indicate a healthy, strong-running movement suitable for regular use.

The case shows no visible plate wear and presents as a remarkably clean example for its age. It has clearly been well cared for and retains its original finish and detail.

On the inside of the rear cover is a deeply personal and historically significant engraving reading: “Presented to Mr. Alfred Bruce by the Wishaw Amateur Orchestra as a parting gift, 21st March 1910.” This inscription adds meaningful provenance and elevates the watch from a fine timepiece to a documented historical keepsake.

This is a highly collectible, fully wearable antique watch combining Swiss mechanical quality, English gold-case construction, and early 20th-century presentation history. It is ideal for collectors of railway-era horology, presentation watches, or anyone seeking a refined and historically rich pocket watch.

Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description and show the exact condition and detail of this exceptional timepiece.
